Tonight Apple held their keynote speech announcing the new 5th genertion iPad named the iPad Air, it is has a 9.7 inch retina display with a bezel that is 43% smaller then previous generations and weighs just 1 pound. It has the same A7 chip found in the iPhone 5s with 64-bit architecture and a secondary M7 Processor. It is apparently 8x faster than the first generation with graphics 72x as fast.
The new camera is a 5MP iSight camera, with a 1080p HD video and dual mics, and you should get 10 hours of battery life.
It will start at $499 replacing last years model, and should be available on November 1st
