It is expected that Amazon will launch three new Amazon Kindle Fires before Christmas, specifically a new 7in base model (the third such chap) and a pair of HD guys at 7in and 8.9in.
One of the devices, the new Amazon Kindle Fire, which is the based model and will be in its 3rd iteration, is supposedly equipped with a dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP 4470 clocked at 1.5GHz, as currently found on the larger Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9.
Other Amazon Kindle Fire 3 specs are said to include a 1280 x 800 resolution on the 7in display (a bump from 1024 x 600), 1GB of RAM, Jelly Bean (Android 4.2.2), and a choice of 8, 16 or 32GB internal storage.
This basically makes the new Kindle Fire the same specification as the Kindle Fire HD, but it should mean the price is kept low.
It is also believed it will have a slight design change with sharper edges compared to its curviness currently.
