The Acer TravelMate X349 announced today is a 14-inch notebook aimed at professional users.
It has an impressive battery life of up to 10 hours and a sleek, all-aluminium chassis that’s less than 18 mm thin and weighs 1.53KG.
The notebook can be fitted with Intel Core 6th generation processors, paired with DDR4 RAM. Storage is via an SSD to give the machine more run time and faster access to data and software. The chassis of the machine is aluminium and it has brushed-metal finish.
The 14-inch screen has IPS technology and 1920 x 1080 native resolution. The display can fold 180-degrees to lay flat on a surface making it easier to share data with a group.
The TravelMate X349 also includes a USB Type-C port for pairing with an Acer USB Type-C Dock (sold separately) to connect up to two 4K displays, whilst providing power and a variety of peripheral connections through a single cable.
It also ships a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0 chip that increases platform integrity and provides hardware-based protection for passwords and encryption keys.
The TravelMate X349 will be available in in EMEA in September with prices starting at €480
