There has been some rumours within AT&T that the new iPhone will be launched in June this year which will bring many new features for the iPhone as well as better integration with mobile network’s own services.

Apparently the source is reasonably high up at AT&T and some of the details leaked were:

• New iPhone announcement around mid-June
• New iPhone will be faster and have a more seamless experience unmatched by any device.
• U-Verse iPhone application; will allow control of your home DVR (play, pause, rewind, etc.)
• The annual iPhone launch is “becoming a tradition.”
• Nothing official is being confirmed, but they said that people should prep for an exciting time this summer.
• AT&T is said to be working with Apple to create a unified product with an unparalleled experience across all their products and services.
• Apple’s 3.0 software should tell us where the iPhone platform is going.
• They said customers shouldn’t need to choose from AT&T’s high-end devices because of features, they should choose based on preferences. The gap in capability should be filled with the new iPhone. Ok, bets on slide out QWERTY, autofocus camera, video sharing, blah blah?
• Seems like the higher speed HSDPA (7.2Mbps) is being hinted at too which should confirm the earlier rumours of the new Infineon chipset.
• The $99 3G netbook will start selling this summer, and the first one won’t be a Windows OS.

Android Authority picked up on an article from the Spanish Engadget that LG have informed them that they are going to release 3 Android handsets this year with the first in June.

It is not exactly clear where Engadget got this date from though I guess it would make sense as would give them 6 months to span out the release of 3 Android Handsets.

I will class this one very much as a rumour and take it with a pinch of salt, but we can hope. According to Intomobile the Palm Pre will be launching next month - possibly as soon as February 15. The tip seems a little weak with Intomobile stating

The tip comes from a TreoCentral reader that claims to have been tipped off by the same source that leaked the Palm Treo 800w’s launch date, but there’s little other evidence to give this particular rumor any credence.

However I suppose this rumour could be fuelled byt the fact that it has been reported that the Nokia N97 maybe landing in the UK on March 31st, so could Palm be trying to steal some of Nokia's thunder?

I am due for an upgrade in February so I will be holding out for whatever arrives first either the N97, Pre or maybe a nice new Android device!

We previously blogged about possible pictures of the Nokia E91, and we have just posted the internal roadmap of Nokia Smartphones.

So did any of the road details match up with a possible Nokia E91 Specification?

The answer is, possibly. The best possible match I can see for the E91 is the phone codenamed Eitri which is due for internal release in week 17 of 2009 (Mid April).

This is a landscape candybar with QWERTY, 3.5-inch 640×350 display, minimum 8GB ROM, microSD, pressure sensitive touch UI with tactile feedback and gestures, charging via USB, 5MP AF camera with dual LED flash, integrated compass and accelerometer, proximity sensor, FM transmitter.

Some pretty impressive specs there. While it may only be a small thing I am impressed that Nokia have FINALLY decided to go with USB charging.

It may not be the E91 as there is no mention of dual screens, and the screen is actually smaller than the current internal screen with a 3.5-inch 640×350 display compared to the current 4 inch 800 x 352 display. However this could indicate they are releasing a smaller version giving it more mass appeal.

Engadget Mobile have a very interesting post today. Apparently the internal roadmap for Nokia Smartphones has been leaked. This is basically a list of all the smartphones Nokia are working on, however this is not a list of the phones that will be released. Quite a few will be cancelled, others will be re-specced though it does give us a taster of what is to come.

There are quite a few nice sounding phones though including a 8 megapixel, half QWERTY keyboard, 128MB RAM, 8GB ROM phone codenamed Corolla due internally in March 2009.

Also a couple of widecreen touch devices, IP08 and Ivalo with the later having 32GB of storage!
