Win £500 John Lewis Vouchers in the British Gas History of Home Competition

British Gas have just launched an interactive evolution of home heating infographic which shows us how we have progressed from cavemen using basic fires, to the Tudors and the invention of the chimney, to modern central heating systems right up until today where we have intelligent heating systems such as Birtish Gas’ Hive Active Heating.

We are pleased to announce that we will be working with British Gas to help promote their infographic with the launch of a new competition called History of Home, where one lucky reader will have a chance to win £500 worth of John Lewis vouchers.

In order to enter you will need your own blog or online magazine and then follow the easy steps below:

  • Take a photo of your favourite nostalgic or retro item from around your home
  • Post this photo on your blog with an accompanying short description on why it’s your favourite
  • Once this is done all you need to do is leave a comment below with a link to your entry page

On the 12th September the most interesting item and accompanying blog post will be chosen by me as the winner and I will fully link back to your own blog post about the competition.

Once we have picked a winner we would love to be able to ask you a few questions on what made you pick your entry and what you are thinking about spending the voucher on! Good luck!

For full terms and conditions please visit the British Gas History of Home article.

That’s odd. I posted my entry a few minutes ago and it has disappeared. My comment was
What a fun challenge and I look forward to seeing what other contestants have chosen. For my part there was no contest. To see my “Punch”line go to
