iPhone gets third party apps early next year, Jobs confirms

It’s been a long time coming – and Apple have denied planning to do so at several occasions – but we knew better all along. Eager developers can expect a software development kit by the end of February.

Why the wait? Well, Apple are worried about viruses, bubonic plague and the lurgy infesting the phones, and want to batten the hatches before third-party apps march in.

Great news for iPhone lovers who are a bit tired of spelling ‘boobies’ upside down on the built-in calculator!

While I am still not a big iPhone fan(yet) it is good news to hear and some decent 3rd party apps may help win me over
