DroboPro NAS Launched

]]> Drobo have expanded their rages of network attached storage devices with the introduction of the DroboPro NAS.

This is a larger verion of their previous devices and can handle 8 3.5 inch SATA hard drives for a theoretical maximum of 16TB of storage space.

Connections include iSCSI (utilizes Gigabit Ethernet), USB 2.0 and FireWire 800.

If you are not sure what iSCSI is then it is a high performance protocol that has become extremely popular with businesses, but it can often be complex to manage. DroboPro changes that by introducing zero click iSCSI connection establishment for both Windows and OS X.

The DroboPro is priced at $1300 (£890)
